Inga is a mimosid legume that produces masses of pink flowers along its trunk.  The pink powderpuff flowers attracted this butterfly for a nectar reward.  The condition of producing flowers on old growth, on the trunk and branches, is cauliflory, literally "stem-flowering", a fairly common in the tropics and seen occasionally in trees like redbud, a temperate relative of Inga.
